I am serverely behind thanking people for favorites.  I've been ultra busy with work and havne't had as much free time so I don't think I'll get to them all.  Right now I have 650 messages waiting, and some of them go back into Nov/Dec I think.

So, to all of you who favorited pics a long time ago...a collective thank you!

BLU DOMAIN

2 min read
Just wanted to let everyone know about a REALLY cool company that makes beautiful flash websites, geared towards photographers and artists.  They are called BluDomain and they have probably the most diverse, easy to use and beautiful sites at a GREAT value.

If any of you have thought to promote your photography business, your artwork or even if you're a model, have a look.

Sites are on sale right now, some as cheap as $100 for the site, and they charge $100 a year to host.  These are gorgeous sites, with multiple galleries, client proofing, text pages,.. I can't say enough how impressed I am.

I bought a site that I'm working on now, and got one for my mom...for $200!  $100 for the site, $100 for hosting and it's gorgeous.

Check them out at:  www.bludomain.com

I don't know when their sale ends, it was supposed to end January 1st but it's still going.  They got some publicity on VH1 and they got slammed pretty hard, so if you were thinking to get a great website, act now!

In other news, I have been so sick this week I thought I might die in my sleep on Tuesday.  I think it's the Consumption.  I'm like Doc Holiday.  Not good.  Longest cold of my life.

I spent some of the best years of my life at Ohio State University. Now I'm nearly ashamed to be a Buckeye. I'm sure if I were actually from Ohio I'd have some blind, unshakable loyalty and faith but since I"m from New Jersey I have to say that I'm SICK of them choking when it matters most.

Do me a favor, rank the Buckeyes LAST at the beginning of next season where they belong.  I no longer believe they have enough faith in themselves to win.  As soon as they are behind, you can see the confidence disappear from their eyes and they look like whipped dogs.  It's ridiculous, especially for a team with so much talent.

Any other team keeps fighting if things don't go their way. Not OSU, they cave like sorry bitches and hand the victory to the other team.  They should literally carry around little white flags to wave before half-time which is typically when they surrender the naitonal championship.

So now that I have the Nikon D300, I come to find out today that my Sigma lenses won't work with it.  Turns out that Sigma is not licensed to make lenses for Nikon, even though they do, and their stuff doesn't work well on the new Nikon technology.

Gone is my 105mm macro, gone is the 24-70 zoom.  (sucked anyway).  Thankfully the Tokina 12-24mm IS compatable.

Turns out Tokina and Tamron are licensed and have all the current technology, so if anyone out there is building up a collection of Sigma lenses for their Nikon and planning to upgrade camera bodies, beware!

A good day

3 min read
Today was a pretty good day.  The issue of B&W magazine's 2008 Single Image Contest came out today with one of my photos winning Bronze in Still Life/Object.  This issue had a lot of great photos in it, go take a look!

I also found out I got 8th place in PhotoLife magazine's contest in the Nature/Landscape category.  Not the best but still published :)

And lastly, the Nikon D300 is now in my hands.  It is fanTASTIC!  Moving up from the D70, it's like night and day. All the new photos I take will be with this camera from now on.

Thank you, thank you, thank you Francesca!
